Terms of use
Scrimmy is intended to be a free community tool for teams, not a paid SaaS trap.
Scrimmy is run with care, but it is a small free service rather than an enterprise product with a formal SLA.
Use Scrimmy for team operations. Do not use it for harassment, spam, cheating, abuse, or storing sensitive records.
Agreement
These Terms of Use apply when you access or use Scrimmy. By using the app, creating or joining a team, signing in with Discord, or using an invite link, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you use Scrimmy for a team, club, university society, esports programme, or organisation, you confirm that you have permission to use the service for that group and to add or manage the relevant team information.
Purpose
Scrimmy is a free, community-first team operations app for VALORANT Premier, amateur esports teams, university teams, Discord-based teams, and small competitive squads. It is designed to help captains and players manage rosters, match times, availability, readiness, VOD links, review notes, action items, and simple Discord reminders.
Scrimmy is not a tournament platform, stats tracker, AI coach, replay parser, betting tool, emergency communication system, or official record system. It is not affiliated with Riot Games, VALORANT, Discord, Google, Twitch, YouTube, or any other linked platform. Names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Accounts
Scrimmy may refuse, suspend, or remove accounts or teams if needed to protect the app, other users, or the wider community.
Teams
Team owners, captains, coaches, players, and substitutes may see different information and perform different actions. Team owners and captains are responsible for managing their roster, invite links, roles, notes, Discord settings, and team content responsibly.
If you create a team or manage players, make sure the people you invite understand that Scrimmy may store roster details, availability responses, event participation, review notes, VOD links, action items, and related team records. Do not add sensitive personal, medical, financial, employment, legal, or emergency information to Scrimmy.
Some team data may be visible to other team members. Some data may be restricted to owners, captains, or coaches. Permissions are part of the product, but they are not a substitute for good judgement.
Content
You and your team keep ownership of the content you add to Scrimmy, such as names, notes, links, event details, and action items. You give Scrimmy permission to host, process, display, transmit, back up, and otherwise use that content only as needed to provide, protect, maintain, and improve the service.
You are responsible for the content you add. Do not post or link to content that you do not have permission to use, that violates another person's rights, or that breaks the rules of another platform.
Rules
Do not use Scrimmy to:
Scrimmy may remove content, revoke invites, disable webhooks, restrict teams, rate limit traffic, suspend accounts, or block access if these rules are broken or if there is a reasonable security, legal, abuse, or operational concern.
Privacy
Scrimmy's privacy practices are explained in the Privacy Policy. Scrimmy is intended to be a humble, free community tool. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data, and we do not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
Limited sharing may still happen where needed to operate the service, such as Discord sign-in, optional Discord webhooks, hosting and infrastructure providers, Google Analytics, legal requests, or security protection.
Third parties
Scrimmy depends on Discord sign-in and may send optional reminders through Discord webhooks when a team enables them. Teams may also add external VOD links or other links to services such as YouTube, Twitch, Medal, Google Drive, or similar platforms. Those third-party services are not controlled by Scrimmy and have their own rules, privacy policies, availability, and security practices.
Scrimmy uses Google Analytics for basic product understanding, not advertising profiles, resale, or tracking individual players across the internet.
Free service
Scrimmy is a free independent community project. It is run with care and good intentions, but it does not come with a formal service level agreement, enterprise support contract, guaranteed response time, guaranteed uptime, guaranteed backups, or guaranteed data export process.
We aim to keep active team data available while the service is operating, but Scrimmy should not be treated as the only copy of information your team cannot afford to lose. Maintenance, bugs, hosting issues, abuse prevention, security incidents, migrations, or cost limits may affect availability or data. If planned changes are likely to significantly affect active teams, we will try to give reasonable notice where practical.
If Scrimmy ever needs to change substantially or wind down, the intention is to communicate clearly and give active users a reasonable chance to save important information where practical. Urgent legal, security, or abuse situations may require faster action.
Changes
Scrimmy may change features, add sensible limits, improve workflows, move hosting, or update these terms as the app grows. If the terms change materially, the "Last updated" date should change and, where appropriate, a notice should be added in the app.
Disclaimer
Scrimmy is built with care, but no online service is perfect. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrimmy is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes implied warranties of availability, reliability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, and error-free operation.
Scrimmy may contain bugs, incorrect times, stale data, permission mistakes, delivery failures, lost messages, broken links, or other errors. You are responsible for checking important match, roster, and team information through appropriate channels.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrimmy and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost opportunities, lost goodwill, team disruption, missed matches, Discord failures, third-party failures, or service interruptions.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the total liability of Scrimmy and its operator will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use Scrimmy in the 12 months before the claim or GBP 50. Because Scrimmy is intended to be free, that cap will often be GBP 50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Indemnity
If you misuse Scrimmy, add unlawful content, violate another person's rights, expose secrets, abuse a Discord webhook, or use the service on behalf of a team or organisation without proper permission, you are responsible for the consequences. If your misuse causes claims, losses, costs, or damage to Scrimmy or its operator, you agree to cover those losses where the law allows.
Termination
You can stop using Scrimmy at any time. You may request account or data deletion through the contact details in the Privacy Policy. Scrimmy may suspend or restrict access if needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, maintenance, cost control, or another reasonable operational reason. Where practical, significant account or team access changes should be communicated clearly.
Law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer or data protection laws in your location require something else. Courts in England and Wales will usually have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a right to use another court or regulator.
